Same-sex marriage is now officially banned in the North Carolina State Constitution, as well as civil unions and domestic partnerships.

FOLLOW-UP: You can, however, still marry your first cousin.

Someone started a petition to try to repeal Amendment One, but it needs a million signatures.

Also I want to add that if you’re uncomfortable putting in your address, it does let you just put like your region and then like the first four letters of your postcode, as long as all the boxes are filled correct so no excuses! edit: my bad I didn’t mean to post this from this page, I forgot this tumblr even existed! I’m technologically special x’) but anyways this is an important petition so I reckon we can just keep it here ;)
